The ship's bronze bell from Aviso Grille - complete with cast-in NSDAP eagle, swastika emblem and ship's name 'Grille' - survives and is preserved as a revered memento in the family of a previous owner of the vessel post war, together with Hitler's bed, and crockery and cutlery, all from Grille.
