<HTML>Hi Tom. Glad to see you!
You are right. Your information is precisely. I am not expert in similar areas and my knowledge is limited approximately to that information which you have resulted in the message.
For a long time was noticed, that at lowering metal subjects in waters of the Black Sea (certainly it first of all anchors) a bit later is observed change of colour of metal which was on large depth. In the end of XIX century (if I am not mistaken) scientists beginnings to be studied this layer of water. The unique condition of water in the Black Sea has not only scientific, but also practical meaning. In first the corrosion activity of water should be known by the one who lays on bottom of the Black Sea submarine cables and pipelines.
I know, that the contract between Government of Russia and one Italian company recently was made on construction of the pipeline on bottom of the Black Sea . At the conclusion of the contract the question of corrosion in water sated hydrogen sulfide was discussed. The Italian experts have declared, that they have studied this question in detail and can completely guarantee safety of the project. It would not be desirable that the aperture in the pipeline was formed on the large depth.
If we really shall estimate naval fleets on the Black Sea, we shall come to a conclusion, that they have no the large strategic importance after 2WW. All water area of the Black Sea is reliably supervised by aircraft. Up to the end 2WW submarines could not be immersed up to a level of hydrogen sulfide
After 2WW the submarines do not have necessity to be immersed so deeply .
Now Russia have on Black Sea 3 submarines.
1 submarine such as Varshavianka
1 experimental submarine for realization scientific experiments
1 submarine not having any weapon.
Russia probably has solved what to not to have submarines at all on the Black Sea not allows prestige .
Ukraine has 1 submarine which from the moment of transfer can not leave in the sea.
Romania has 1 submarine such as Kilo which 5 years does not leave in the sea because of absence of the battery
Bulgaria has 2 underwater old boats. One can not leave in the sea. For other submarine recently in Germany the battery was bought and she can leave in the sea. This submarine is about 30 yeas old.
Georgia (homeland of Stalin) had not any submarines.
I dont know visited Turkish submarines Black Sea or not.
Regards and thanks in advance
