such extreme weapon (barchino esplosivo) had to be used with surprise as a determinant factor: the only attack to Malta totally failed and a lot of medals were awarded postumously.
Last, but not least, the \"explosive speed boat\" driver was anyway on a no return mission. That weapon had clearly to be used ONLY within member of the Geneva Convention, an very sporty ones too.
