U Boat mooring

I am constructing a large U Boat diorama model with a VIIc moored at the quayside outside the La Rochelle U Boat pens in 1941.

My question is would the boat deploy the anchor on any occasion in this situation, or would mooring to the Jetty be sufficiant? I was thinking an anchor decending into the depths would look pretty good.

Please advise,
