<HTML>If your U-boat is moored directly to the dock or quayside the use of the anchor would not be needed, unless some type of maintenance is being done to it. If your boat was moored out further from the dock side the use of the anchor would look more realistic. when moored to the dock a submarine used 4 mooring lines.There was one aft and one near the bow that went straight from the dock to the boat ,this line is called the \"breast line \". The other two lines are used amidships roughly one in front of the bridge and the other aft of the bridge in a crisscross pattern , these are called the \"springs \".</HTML>
