U-Boat missile launch

<HTML>Had read a small article on the development of nuclear weapons and it mentioned that the Germans had made prior to the end of the war a tow able pod that could hold three V2 missiles. It was to be towed by the XXI and launched at targets in the US had they been able to make the weapons.

Are there any good books that discuss late war U-Boat technology such as this?

Also, what good it a tow able pod if it cannot submerge, or did it? Does not seem it would get very far otherwise. Would it not make more sense to make modifications to the deck of a XXI to raise and fire a V2?
