Following second world war situations where ASW assets were diverted attacking sunken wrecks giving sensor indications of possible submarines, USN compiled an extensive listing of locations of sunken ships which might be tentatively identified as potential submarines by magnetic anomaly detection (MAD) or similar sensors. This list was classified to avoid its use by non-allied submarines attempting to evade detection. The information you seek may have been classified as part of that effort. =AL=</HTML>
