Patrol clarification?

U460 sailed 23.08.43 and returned 25.08.42 due to a leakage in her battery compartment [3 days], while U462 which sailed on 20.01.93 to return on 22.01.43 due to trimming problems [3 days], why should U462 sailing recorded as being a patrol [3rd], while U460 is not? John
