Thanks so much for the replies, I think I saw one in a movie at the Lorient Submarine Base when they were calling sailors aboard. Anyway, the U1277 was discovered on October 20, 1973 by a group of three sport divers, Joaquim Oliveira Fernandes, Rui Pinto and Alberto Freitas. It is not possible to dive inside as it is full of sand. You have his full story at [www.submania.pt] if you are interested.
