Hi There
I'm part of the team who've taken over the U-534 u-boat and museum. In 2017 we took over the semi-derelict and closed Western Approaches HQ and have restored it into one of the most popular WWII heritage sites in the UK. We are confident that we can do the same for U-534.
We are really keen to ensure that people with an interest in this project have a chance to share their expertise, their ideas and generally grow a community.
We're therefore set up a project called 'how to fix a u-boat' which is documenting the restoration project over the next 18 months.
You can follow the story on our website [howtofixauboat.com]
and you can have your say on the project here: [www.placed-engagement.org.uk]
thanks in advance!
Dean
(PS we can't stick it back together sadly! It should never have been split, but we can at least improve what's there)
