The Charleston sequence in the torpedo room is memorable. Good job the cruise wasn\'t that long or the guy in the grass skirt could have been in trouble.
Addenda to the above, when the bos\'n gets the news of Schalke\'s defeat in the football match - this team was also mentioned in the film \"Stalingrad\" one of the soldiers expresses his wish to play for them after the war and in the traditions of film narrative loses his leg & dies not long after! The moment any character mentions what he\'s going to do after the war, or gets out his picure of his wife & kids, you know his life expectancy can be measured in minutes.</HTML>
