<HTML>I have yet to see this film but going on other people\'s opinions it does not sound favourable. I suppose it stems from the possibility that the Americans wouldn\'t be interested if it was a bunch of Brits in the picture. As we englanders know the film is based on the capture of U 110 (Lemp) in 1941 before Pearl Harbor, though I think that US destroyers were active in the Atlantic at the time (viz Topp\'s sinking of the Reuben James and the attack on the Kearney) though my dates may be out. Any corrections gratefully received. We should console ourselves that there is Das Boot for the aficionados amongs us (the German version with subtitles for preference.)</HTML>
