Chains and grappling hooks as ASW weapons

<HTML>I wondered about that, too. It seems like it wouldn't be a very effective method of detecting or damaging enemy subs, but I suppose if the cruiser above were going to be driving back and forth in a search pattern anyway, dragging a bunch of hooks along the floor might yield some positive results, even if it's to scare the boat hiding on the bottom into moving.
I'm hopeful that some kind soul here knows the answer and is willing to share! </HTML>
