Your post made me smile, for I've got once this kind of strange pets as occupationnal/professional disease when I was working, 40 years back, as Sleeping Car Conductor on Direct-Orient, Istanbul-Calais...I took over from my Yugoslavian colleague in Venezia, and no sex was involved,please believe me ! Arriving in Calais, I felt a bit itchy/scratchy, and my senior buddies asked what was wrong...
I gave them a plain answer, and it was an uproar of laugh, I was not the first one !In fact, sleeping-car itself was infested, no culprit was ever found, but I think enquiry was a very clerical one.
