Actually there was a U.S.S. SWORDFISH the (SS-193), but it never operated in the Atlantic. She sank the first official Japanese ship sunk
by an American submarine after the attack om Pearl Harbor, the
ATSUTSAN MARU on 12/16/42.
There were, however, six GATO-class boats assigned to SUBRON 50
operating out of Roseneath, Scotland in September, 1942.
I wonder what class U-boat and Fleet Boat the director will use.....
