Excellent choice! Michael Hadley has written an excellent book about the U-Boat war within Canadian waters (eg. the Gulf of St. Lawrence). These waters provided horrible ASDIC conditions for patrolling corvettes and minesweepers so that U-553 (Thurmann) and U-517 (Hartwig) (to name just 2 U-Boats) were able to tally a number of significant sinkings there.
This is not an easy book to find...possibly as a used book.
