This is the forum for Movie and Film discussions. Again, our topic is naval warfare in WWII for the most part.

<HTML>Tommy:

The names "Compass Rose" and "Saltash" have never appeared in any WWII sources. When you check Royal Navy and Royal Canadian Navy sources neither appears (according to my inofrmation). I AM CURIOUS to know which RN Corvette was used to "play the role" of HMS Compass Rose during the movie. Maybe someone out there can help us with this question.

There is ONE Corvette remaining and she can be found in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Check www.hmcs-sackville.org

The "Sackville" is a museum ship open to the public in Halifax from approx. June 1 to October 1...varies by year. Its quite a thrill to visit.

Hope this helps a bit.

Cheers.
