A complete waste of money! This movie makes 571 look like a masterpiece. Like U571, the first 3 m inutes are OK, that is because they use archival film to introduce the U-Boat war. After that, it crash dives to the bottom. It is full of technical errors, don't people do any research ?
Did you know that range, depth , heading and speed are all available from the hydrophones.
The crew tells the capitain the range, while he is looking at the destroyer through the periscope.
Laser guided torpedoes explode directly next to targets based on a distance run, not contact.
2 men can load a torpedo, stowed under the floor plates, and fire it in under 10 seconds.
Underwater sub duels happen not once but, 3 times.
A destroyer can sink a submerged U-boat with shells fired like a hedgehog.
Soldiers in WW2 said "What up?"
Really bad!
