Well, what you say is very interesting, but actually that's not what I meant; I wasn't thinking of a "warrior class," by which term I would mean professional soldiers with specific training and expertise, just of fairly ordinary people who happen to be caught up in a war and are doing their best to do the task at hand and to stay alive, all the while worrying about their loved ones back home. The fact that some of these men are still teenagers, others are loving husbands and fathers, some believe the country's cause to be just and others either don't agree or don't bother to think about it--yet here they all are, boxed in together and trying to stay alive--this is what I, pesonally, find moving and universal. Whatever the particular war happens to be, and whatever side the soldiers are fighting on, the story is the same in the greater scheme of things.
