Hi to everyone.
I read about Operation Kiebitz (escape of U-434 C.O. Heyda from POW camp in Canadá in order to be picked-up by U-536).
The story made me remember clearly the plot of "McKenzie Break", a film of 1970 (Brian Keith main role) where a extraordinarily similar escape occured.
Does anyone know if the events are related?
I saw the film again months ago and I do not remember any mention to a "based on a true story".
I wondering why the producer does not take an advantage of this fact.
Best regards,
Pablo
