Hi Serdar,

The movie is fiction, though closely based on fact. Therefore, people have been given fictional names. The character of Philipp Thomsen in the movie isn't based on the real-life Thomsen, but on Hirsacker (plus probably some other people) as David W. explained. Thomsen is probably a fairly common name in the northern part of Germany, close to Denmark.
