This is the forum for Movie and Film discussions. Again, our topic is naval warfare in WWII for the most part.

Some are, some aren't. Some try for accuracy and fail, others are sheer entertainment. I was disappointed in "Memphis Belle". Wherein what should have been, and was in real life, a "milk run", the filmmakers, out of whole cloth, made something up. Exciting? OK. Accurate? Nah. After I got over my indignant disappointment, I figured, "What the cluck" and I watch it occaisionally.
It's like the difference between, let's say, "The Longest Day" or "A Bridge Too Far" and "Kelly's Heroes" or "The Dirty Dozen". Enjoy 'em all, howe'er ye can, sez I.
