This is the forum for Movie and Film discussions. Again, our topic is naval warfare in WWII for the most part.

Dear Herr Kummrow,
Are there, in fact, scenes from Das Boot which aren't included even in the "made for television" version? If so, how exciting to think that we might one day see them! I live in San Francisco, but I can't say as I've ever bumped into Wolfgang Peterson. If I did, I would beg him to a) release the as-yet-unseen scenes, and b) make some more good movies and not junk like "Troy," which goes so far as to change the plot of the Iliad--talk about hybris!
I would also, were I fortunate enough to see him in person, implore Jürgen Prochnow to stop making ghastly junk movies and do something where his talent can shine in a worthy cause.
Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
Regards,
Meg Rosenfeld
