Seconded. I managed to get the 'Das Boot' miniseries on VHS from amazon.co.uk having failed to find it anywhere else. Much better than the old movie version with its horrible English dubbing, which is all I had before.

I'd also say the miniseries is better than the movie, since it allows more time for character development etc, and the movie is a bit heavy going all at once.
