I can't speak to the requirement of KD's picture, but some time ago I put the question regarding AH's picture, ie, was there a CERTAIN picture of AH that had to be on board, or could it have been ANY picture, subject to size requirements?
The question has not been satisfactorily answered to date.
There is a picture showing a picture of AH on U-123 in the book "Operation Drumbeat" by Michael Gannon. This is the only example I have come across so far.
The caption states that the picture was "standard issue", implying a certain picture.
Any thoughts?
