Error in Das Boot ??

Good evening all,

I had the house to myself for a couple of days this week (wife visiting aged parents) so I decided to devote a night to watching the full 6 hour Das Boot miniseries which I recorded from BBC 2 back in 1981.

I was just settling down to enjoy episode 1 when about 10 minutes in the subtitles read (almost as follows) "All the aces are dead. Schepke, Kretschmer and Kelsch" (ficticious commander)(error 1) Then the guy said "And Endrass with his nerves"(error 2) First I heard of that. I know Bleichrod had nervous problems and had to be relieved of his command but as far as I know Endrass had no such problems.

I really hope I'm wrong.
