Das Boot - German question

In the German version of the film, "Das Boot," the scene at the end of the movie where the boat has resurfaced and the captain and the XO are on the bridge has the captain describing the British to the XO: "Wissen Sie was? Sie sind jetzt im Casino und sie feiern unsere Versenkung." The next words after this appear to be in English.
Is there a German-speaker here who can confirm this, or who can tell me the German that was being spoken?
If this was in English, was it common that the officers (who would have learned English at University, I assume) would occasionally use English to one another?
Thank you in advance.
