I've read, and I'm pretty sure of that ( but now, I can't remember where, but the book was considered as a serious one ), that Salman and Suhren were both sharing the same taste for dirty jokes and very politically incorrect stories, most of them aiming top brass of 3rd. Reich...Perhaps I jumped too quickly to conclusions when writing they were good friends.It is a fact that Suhren was junior to Salman of 3 years, and it's also a fact that they were never flotiila-mates.
I'll will come back to you if I find complementary data.
