Flying Dutchman Uboat Captain Comic Book and TV

The Flying Dutchmen legend of a condemned Captain forced to relieve his evil life again apparently extentds to fictional U boats...
Case in Point
In Science-Fiction Comic "Fobidden Worlds Issue # 55 story "U boat 327" is a short story of a fanatical Nazi Captain whose sinks a red cross ship and then orders to crew to fire on any survovors; the crew is so shocked at his behavior they put him to see in a liferaft..where he is picked by a red cross ship ship which is torpedoed and machine gunned by U-327 {its the ship that he had torpoded in the beginning of the story]

Twilight Zone 1959 :Judgement Night" Nehemiah Persoff stars as a German U-boat Captain forced to forever relieve the sinking of a helpless ship with women and Children on board sunk by his order...on both the U boat and the sinking ship....

For the record the real U-327 had three patrols; sank no ships and was Missing in 1945.....
