Life in different sections of the boat

<HTML>\'lo folks

Was wondering about the distinction of language in the various quarters of the sub in the movie. I thought this was done rather well. The engine room boys are by far the roughest of the lot (although one needs to be a mechanical engg of sorts to figure those MAN diesels and torpedo tubes). The bridge section is pretty upper class and the humour subtle. my fav guys on the sub was the kaleu, the nav, the photojourn and the li (chief). The 2nd officer had a lot of fun at all the newbies\' expense ( like the journalist\' 1st sub run and the new 1st offizier stiffiness). The 1st officer was a regular Hitler youth type that the kaleu despised intensely. :) made him play the tipperary number. must have ripped the poor idelogists\' soul

Cheers and
would love to know what you think
