I'll soon be resuming work on a 1:72 German U-boat bunker that I started quite some time back, and still have not found near all of the references I'd like to have on the bunkers themselves. I already have an after the battle volume, Sutton and Osprey books on bases (OK), as well as the Schiffer volume on the bunkers, but none is as detailed as I'd really like. Can anyone recommend

All of the illustrations I've seen of a standard IXC, have a second platform behind the tower, lower than the first, with weaponry located on it, but all of the photos I can find of U-156, do not show this second platform. What gives? More importantly, did it or did it not have this second platform when it attacked the RMS La

I too have considered depicting a scene at sea, but with the Revell Blohm & Voss BV 222 alongside a type VII or IX. I'll be interested to see how yours turns out.

On the Revell 1:72 Type IXC/40, the forward deck narrows considerably, then flares out again. Does anyone know what purpose this may have served? Thanks, Kevin
