If it is so, thas sad but they could not know that submarine would be a legend. But it would be nice if it was still in the water and made that boat to a museum or something. Well i know it was bombed but must been close to the harbor or something if its scrapped.

Hello. I still want to know is the legend U96 still on the bottom of the sea? I mena the U96 is not only a submarine, its a legend an culture so if it is raised so where is the submarine? Best regard Christian

Hi Ken. Thanks for all the info. I have wonderd for a really long time how it works but now iknow. My dad and i talk about WW2 pretty muck becuase he was born same year as the war started 1939 and hes dady was involved here in sweden to be reddy if the war would come to close. And my mums dady was involved for the finnish army. So i have alot of intresst in WW2 and especialy U-boats. Bes

Hmm its only one question, how did they use it to send messages? For exampel from a uboat base to a uboat and things like that. Thanks for the link to wikipedia but it was so much info so i hade to translate it to swedish.

Hmm U-47 Is that same type of boat as U96? And if you still got it whats the price and how much does it costs to send it to Sweden?

Were can i find more info fore radio controled submarines? I have seen someone have a rc submarine wich looks like a WIIC boat. It would be so cool to have one who realy works. Who made the modelkits and how does it work? I really want a RC U96.

The Nazi germany byed pretty much steel from Sweden under the ww2. And it would not suprise me if even the uboats was made by swedish steel and then sweden byed german engineerd submarine designs from IVS and bulit them in sweden. And now days ThyssenKrupp is the name now and they owns kockums. Even some helmets that the soliders of the german army had helmets in steel, made in sweden same typ

I still wonder how did enigma worked? All ikow it was a communication system for the uboats and it was coded messeges. So i think it was like a ordinary comunication radio. Somebody who can tell me more? About enigma.

If i had money and place to have two subs i would by hms gotland instead and maybe try to pull up U96 from the bottom of the baltic sea in wilhemshaven and restore it=)

Hi Thanks for that tip, i gonna check it out. Swedish and german oldschool subs looks cooler than the new ones wich is produced now days. Now days the subs looks like hotdogs with towers.

I wunder how did the Enigma worked? Was it radio communication? De germans must know that it would be breaked someday so why didnt they updated it to make it harder for the enemys to learn the enigma codes?

Hello A litle question if somebody knows how come that Swdish and german boats had close exately same design? Was it a coropartion between kockums and Germany?
