Gentlemen, Regarding the FuMo-30 antennea… in case of alarm, was the antennea manaully or mechanically lowered, or was it removed by hand by the four Bridge Watch crewmen and stowed somewhere inside the boat or in an outer hull compartment on the Bridge, Wintergarden, or Top Deck (or is it Weather Deck)? Wow! So it was not a valve, but a cover. It seems to me that would be tough to replace with water rushing in, unless the sea strainer cover was attached to the pipe like the lid on a mason jar (it's what comes to mind). It could have been a fatal endeavor had sea water mixed with battery acid producing chlorine gas. But perhaps the water did not rise above the bottom border of the control ro
