Hi Steve, sorry for slow reply. I would be interested to see copies of your uncles letters if you ever get a chance to copy them. I am writing a biography of my uncle and if the letters refer to RM music it might be good to include them. Meanwhile here is a link to a YouTube film biography. (about 40 minutes.) Thanks for writing. William

Did you see John Farrow, (seaman, lookout) appear at the Royal Albert Hall during Last Night of the Proms last Saturday? He will probably know of other survivors, although I believe he is the last. Bill

Hello Pip, Well there is a coincidence. I just found some letters from Bill Evans to George Lloyd and posted a new thread here to try to find family, and then I came across your post. Is Bill Evans still alive. They are going to play HMS Trinidad March at the Last Night of the Proms this year. Please get in touch when you get this message. Thanks William Lloyd

Greetings Mr Gould, I am the nephew of George Lloyd, and was most interested to read your message. I knew about your grandfather through George's account and also Mr Pearce's book. I agree about HMS Belfast - I visited last year after hearing that they had reconstructed a Transmitting Station just as it would have been when Trinidad was torpedoed - and I am full of admiration for t
