Hi Regio, SEGURANCA Not sunk by mine, not a war loss. Sprang a leak and grounded on 3 Aug 1918. Built in 1890 by Delaware River Iron Ship Building and Engine Works as Hull Number 258. Broken up 1923. Respectfully, Joe R

H.Klees was chief engineer on Deutschland on the two trips to the USA in 1916. Heinrich Klees was ob. masch. on UC47 when it was sunk on 18 Nov 1917. Are these two names one and the same man?? Are there other men that served on Deutschland and died in other boats?? Respectfully, Joe R

The UB84 page says nothing about the Following. U. B. 84 was rammed in Eckernforde Bay on December 6, 1917, by the torpedo target ship Solingen, which passed over her, damaging her conning tower and bow compartment. If by "uboats" you mean "submarines", then FOUCALT qualifies as sunk on 15 September 1916 by A-H seaplanes. Foucalt was a French submersible. Respectfully, Joe R

Two more, Peter Ernst Eiffe died on 1.06.1965 in Hamburg and served in WK11. Siegfried Claassen died 7.06.1951 and also served in Wk11. The search goes on. Joe

Hi Greg, Kptlt. Muller was 2WO on U69 before taking command of U662. He died on 3 May 1988. Where he died is unknown to me. Its only a little but hope it helps. Respectfully, Joe R

The source just came to me; must be old age getting to me. The source is histomar.net, the great database of one Yves Dufeil. Site says "sunk with San Francesco so presumably UC20". Nothing about only being damaged however. Joe R

Hi Guys, The ship pictured is the New York built for HAL in 1924. City of New York was launched in 1888 for INMAN line and sold in 1893 to AMERICAN line and renamed NEW YORK. The ship built in 1883 was never owned by HAL. Respectfully, Joe R
