After further study, there were only 42 German ships requisitioned by Brazil.
The number 45 probably is the total of German and A-H ships seized. I use
probably because I could only find 2 A-H ships.
Parana had three men killed when sunk.

Denis,
Of course you are right. Why Not? I can see the new helicopter carrier being
built by the French for Mother Russia and be named Barack Hussein Obama II.
As for the errors, many have been found and corrected. If you find an error,
post it with your source and the moderators will fix it. Any site with over
7000 ships and about 450 ? uboats will have a few errors. After all, we

Hi All,
Naval-History.net states that the encounter with U57 occurred on 20 MARCH 1917.
Uboat.net says the encounter happened on 30 MARCH 1917.
One is a typo: but which one?

Two more and a correction:
Woldemar Petri died on 30 April 1951
Gunther Suadicani died on 11 June 1933
Carl-Siegfried Ritter von George died on 26 September 1957 NOT on 5 February.
A great many brave men in the commanders listing and we don't know on which date they died.
Perhaps some esteemed members of this forum can supply some of these dates.

Hi Mike,
Sounds like you're looking for a five volume (band in German) set written by
Admiral Arno Spindler over a couple of decades and called DER HANDELSKRIEG MIT
U-BOOTEN.
U35 sank only three ships in March 1915. The ships sunk can be found in the WW1
section under U35.
Hope this of some help,

On 15 May 1918 U39 was attacked by British seaplane from the seaplane
carrier Empress. She was also depth charged by yacht Venetia.
Three men of the crew of U39 were killed and she was forced to dock at
Cartagena and internment.

150. Konig Albert
While scrolling through the Italian ships,I came across this.
Made me laugh. What's next? USA aircraft carrier V. Putin?
Interned then seized Konig Albert became Ferdinando Palasciano. Also,
I cannot find any evidence that she was taken as a prize by KUK U11.
Maybe I didn't look hard enough?
