Larry, The 4 crewmen were rescued by U 30 as you state. From the KTB - The DO-18 was not able to be towed and was sunk by artillery fire on the 29th. Shortly after the 4 men were brought aboard, a fishing trwler showed up. It was not stated in the KTB whether the 4 crewmen were transferred to the trawler.

Steve, I think what was meant here was - "On 16 November the AFT stern TORPEDO STORAGE tube AND IT'S CONTENTS (torpedo) was torn off by heavy seas." The floating unit was then destroyed by gunfire from U-376 to prevent it (G7a) from falling into enemy hands. Also refer here:
