You will find a survivors report in German as well as English describing the boat\'s sinking. Also there is a photo of the conning tower.
Since outset of the war all tactical markings and numbers were removed from the boats, once they were ready to join the respective front flottillas. Though officially forbidden, personal markings reappeared on many but not all boats (laughing sawfish, bull of Scapa Flow etc). Rgds, RB
