There were a small number of VIIC/41 with Flaktürm and deckgun. In these cases the deckgun was re-added in the pens. Most KLeuns omitted the deck gun on these boats to offset the additional weight added by the FLAK. By this time also, the chances of using the deck gun were greatly diminished as the air-gap decreased.
