Hello Everyone,
I was looking through the pictures of U-995 on the [www.olegmastruko.com] web site and the Captain's radio caught my eyes: [www.olegmastruko.com]
Does anyone know the make and type of the radio?
My uncle had a radio like that in the '60s and '70s and I remember repairing it!
It was not a communication receiver, but more like ruggedized broadcast receiver. It covered the LW, MW, and SW bands. Unfortunately I lost track of that radio.
I also recall from Herbert Werner's book that he took up a SW receiver from his sub to his room when he was in port towards the end of the war. It could have been a radio like that...
Thanks, Peter
