Route Blau

I am looking for information on "Route Blau" 1940. I believe that it was the "safe/recommended" corridor for boats to take and ran off Norway before turning West and looping round to the West of Shetland/ Orkney and then to the West of Ireland. However, they are only guesses, so would appreciate any detailed information on the route and whether there were typical transit times.
