Robert,

As with most questions, I would always accept your answer as you have demonstrated many times in the past that you are an excellent reference for submarine questions.

When I posted about the alcohol being a fire risk, I was referencing a malfunctioning torpedo still in the tube.

Thank you for the information on the reuse of torpedoes for testing, I was under the impression that after each test the propulsion system has to undergo a significant "rebuild" which was one of the reasons for the lack of testing of the Mk 14 as it was too expensive.

I Loves this site, I gets learnin every time I log in. :)
