Thanks for that, that really is very interesting. Obviously, the novel I am writing is purely fiction but as you can no doubt appreciate, the more accurate the information historically that I can find, the better. What I would really like to stumble across is a U-Boat that left port in the latter days of WWII and was either sunk in an area that U-Boats were rarely present or it just vanished completely. I'll keep trawling (excuse the pun) the site as advised to see what I can find, but if you know of any stories or theories pertaining to the suspicious disappearance of any such vessels please let me know.
