i was aboard from about 1950 t0 1952. we were on opteration main brase and longstep out of charleston s.c. we went to england, france,, spain, malta, etc. the crew used to call me "spooks" because although i was an enginmam, when off duty i was either on deck looking at the ocean, or in the wheelhouse at the helm. i loved my short time aboard the token.
