I am 84 and I remember the sinking and the recovery of SS192 squalus and kept up with it till the end. I remember in 1948 seeing a NEWS clip in the paper that said. Luria Brothers people were towing the Squalus to the Scrap Yard and ran into rough seas and having the Coning tower cut off it was running low in the water plus taking on water they had to cut it loose and it sank? I have searched and corresponded with many about this and nothing. .. Either I am losing IT or I can make up Stories,,, Anything?? Please respond ,, Thanks,, Bill... Merry Christmas,,,, W4VNK@ec.rr.com
