As for ST. ANTOINE DE PADOUE: maybe UB 18 is an possibility, but she didn't return and so we will never knew for sure.

Appart from this the place of attack was NORTH of the Scillies, I'm not sure if UBII type submarines operated in that area at the end of 1917 if ordered to patrol the western entrance of the Channel ?

As for REINE D'ARVOR: in my U 89-file I have an entry that the U-boat fired approx. 30 shots of which 2 are "light" hits, the SV fired 70 shots.

btw: On 15.12.1917 the french auxiliary SV BARON LEOPOLD VAVILLIERS had an engagement with an U-boat 30 miles south of Belle Ile, which resulted in the death of one crew, but protected the convoy of 41 fishing vessels escorted by the french one.

I'm sure this too was U 89 - Michael ?
