WWI Iron Cross Award Winners

Hi Folks,

My name is Rich Sheehy and I run a site called www.ironcross.org

This site was recently created to preserve the history and records of those awarded the Iron Cross. As time moves ahead much of the history will be lost forever, especially for WWI and earlier.

It is hoped someone can suggest books or other reference materials. Unfortunately I am told most of the WWI records were destroyed during WWII I have contacted the German Military archives but material is limited.

I request you help in any way you can to get the word out to those that can contribute to the site, especially direct family members. The site has been set up so records can be uploaded after registration.
