I find the magazine, -Sea Classics-1992/Sept. The sinking date 14 Feb 1942 in German Grid EC 9436 12 degrees 9 minutes north by 70 degrees 21 minutes west or about 32 miles southwest of Aruba. Von Rosensteil write sited tanker of about 2600 tons showing dim navigation lights. Hit amidships. and vessel exploded and sank immediately. Slurfaced and went through a pool of burning oil. All other six ships sunk were confirmed but not this one.
