<HTML>Capt. George Duffy--
Anther (quick) voice of support--I spoke with you on the phone a couple of months ago and did that feature for Fosters Sunday Citizen (hope you got the clip I sent OK). I don\'t see how anyone who knows you can doubt your authenticity and sincerity. Your posts to this site have always been relevant and insightful.
U-boat commanders were neither Gods nor devils; they were human. I have see, fromtime to time, a tendency by some postings here to elevate them to something more than what they were. To NOT share your and your friend\'s experience with Hardegan would be an important omission while trying to acertain the most complete understanding of the events and people of that dark time. Hardegan was daring and resourceful, evidence indicates, but something of a tyrant as well (from what I have gathered from bvarious perspectives).
Anyhow, I\'ll continue to look forward to seeing your postings here--others have stated pretty clearly the feelings of a community for you and what you have contributed to this site. Perhaps \"Paul\" is just practicing to join @#$%&.
