Hi Paul,

I think you have got mixed up with the ships somewhere along the line! U-732 was sunk by the AS Trawler HMS Imperialist and the destroyer HMS Douglas.

Try as I may, I cannot find any reference to a trawler by the name of HMS Loch Oskaig. There was a Loch class of Escort vessel - a derivative of the Bay class - but these were frigates.

If you are still convinced there was a Loch Oskaig, try

This is the web site for the Royal Naval Patrol Service, who manned trawlers. I am sure someone on that site would be able to point you in the right direction - but as for U-732, alas! She was not sunk by Loch Oskaig.
